About Us Founded in 1932 and headquartered in Roanoke, VA, Lawrence is a 100% employee-owned business with three primary divisions: Household Goods Moving and Storage, Truckload and Flatbed Freight, and Truck Service Bodies. In addition to the Roanoke location, there are branches in Richmond, Waynesboro, Virginia, as well as Greensboro, North Carolina. Employee-Owned and Proud. In 1998, Lawrence established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and later became 100% employee-owned in 2004.
